Safe or Scam? Global Markets Trust Level
Scam and fraud remains a massive problem in the field of Forex trading. Thankfully, Global Markets is a fully regulated and legit broker, licensed to operate in over 30 jurisdictions. The platform meets all the requirements to be considered a truly “trustworthy trader”.
Based in the Seychelles, Global Markets is overseen by the financial authorities of some of the most strict markets in the world – including the UK, Germany, Japan, and Singapore. The platform also follows all international anti-money laundering agreements, and employs additional security measures to protect their client’s data and capital.

Funds Safety
Global Markets takes the protection of your capital more than seriously. The platform has implemented several security measures to ensure a safe trading environment. Notably, Global Markets has implemented a negative balance protection policy – a measure which prevents your account balance from ever going below zero. Should a trade go horribly wrong, Global Markets guarantees you will never owe money to the broker, nor lose more funds than you have deposited in your account.
The platform also keeps your funds separate from company funds. This ensures your money will never be used for improper purposes, and helps your funds being identified if necessary.
If you wish to increase the security of your account, you can enable an additional two-factor authentication layer, which will send a secret code to your mobile phone every time you try to log-in.

Interface: Global Markets and the SIRIX Platform
Global Markets’ interface is based on SIRIX – one of the most popular interfaces for Forex traders around the world. SIRIX, developed by Leverage, powers not only the broker’s web platform, but also the two mobile apps, released on the App Store and Google Play Store. Global Markets is available on Windows, Android, and iOS, as well as any device that can support Google Chrome.
The interface is fluid, with clearly labeled menus and buttons, and an intuitive design that makes navigating unobtrusive. By default, the platform opens to a candlestick chart of a popular major Forex pair. The charts are highly customizable, with over 30 available visualization options. The interface provides quick access to all of the tools necessary to make informed trading decisions, but whereas other platforms present you with a jumble of links and buttons, here everything is kept tidy and minimalist.
A few elements are ever-present in the trading interface – your account balance and open positions are always visible at the bottom of the screen – but you can easily scroll between pairs, commodities, chart visualizations, time periods, and more. With Global Markets, you can also add customizable labels, chart overviews, and more, directly onto the interface.
The mobile apps adapts this interface to the small screen. Although there are a few significant changes to accommodate for the smaller screen size, the layout is kept pretty much the same to facilitate easy transition between web and mobile. Global Markets’ mobile app makes trading on the go easy – it keeps much of the same design, it does not drain the battery, and you can even enable one-touch trades.

Depositing and Withdrawing Money

Available Currencies
Global Markets offers a serviceable list of available currencies. You can open a trading account with one of three options – Euro (EUR), United States Dollars (USD), and Great British Pounds (GBP). There is no difference between the three options.
However, you must still consider carefully the currency of your account. Any deposit you make to your trading account will be converted to its currency. For example, if you use your JPY bank account to deposit funds to your EUR account, your bank will convert your Yen into Euro, and may impose additional fees. To circumvent that, you can open a multi-currency bank account, or register for a product such as Revolut or Transferwise.
-
Deposit Options
- Wire transfer
- Credit/Debit card
- Paypal
- Skrill/Neteller
All deposits must be done from sources you own.
Global Markets does not have minimum deposit amount requirements. There are no fees applied to deposits.
Bank transfers have no upper deposit limit, but take between 3 to 5 business days to register and be processed. All other deposit options are instantaneous, with an upper limit of $20,000 per deposit for credit/debit cards, and $10,000 for e-wallet options. Once your deposit is registered and processed, your money go directly into your account.
-
Withdrawal
As part of the international anti-money laundering agreements Global Markets is regulated by, you can withdraw money only to the same source from which you’ve deposited (e.g. you can’t withdraw funds to your bank account if you haven’t used a bank transfer to deposit funds into your trading account).
All withdrawal requests are processed in 7 days and require a copy of a photo ID and a bank statement. There are no fees on withdrawing money from your trading account.
